Ronald Ellis, Jr., DMO, MBA

Ronald Ellis, Jr., DMO, MBA provides focused insight into many therapeutic areas in which Ferghana works, but has especially deep academic and professional experience in orthopedics, ortho-biologics, immunology, and drug development. Ron worked for a number of years at ABN-AMRO, Prudential, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, and Leerink Partners in a number of functions spanning equity research and equity trading. For the last 8 years (through 2/24), Ron was Head of Development at Pacira Biosciences, with responsibility for strategy, partnering, acquisitions, competitive intelligence, and new product planning for its orthopedic products and its pain management products. During that time, he was also designated to sit on the Boards of companies it had invested in such as GQ Biotherapeutics and Carthronix.

Ron received his BS in Biology and his MBA (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Joseph’s University and then went on to get a degree as Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ron rounded off his academic activities as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Wythe and at the University of Pennsylvania in its Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
