Rajen K. Dalal BS, MS, MBA

Rajen K. Dalal provides the Ferghana teams with his insights in the field of Medical Technology, Diagnostics, and Digital Health.

Rajen started his career as a Consultant at McKinsey before transitioning to the biotech world where he word for Chiron (acquired by Novartis) as VP Corporate Development and then President of the Blood Testing Diagnostic division specializing in DNA and immunology test for HIV. Hepatitis, West Nile, and other viruses in the blood. Rajen went on to take up posts as Director or CEO in a number of other diagnostics or MedTech companies such as Vermilion, PharmaJet, Guava. Later, he was also CEO of a Big Data analytics company, HealthPals. In 2011, Rajen became CEO of ReLIA Diagnostics, a point-of-care blood testing company for the Emergency Room (acquired by Yungfeng).

From 2017-2019, Rajen was the Chairman of Cardiac Designs, a company with a single-lead ECG using advanced analytic algorithms, for long-term home monitoring of patients. In 2018, Rajen became Executive Chair/Interim CEO of JanaCare, a point-of-care diagnostic device for whole blood test for diabetes, kidney diseases, and cardiovascular conditions, all run remotely on a smartphone.

Today, Rajen is Founder/CEO at Overread, a pre-seed stage home medical device digital health company to interface with tele-medicine providers. Rajen’s education includes a B.Sc.in chemistry from St. Xavier in Bombay India, a MS in Biochemical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
